Other helpful resources:
- "NSF CAREER Proposal Writing Tips," An excellent collection of essays by CAREER winners edited by ZJ Pei; produced by the Eng Directorate, but most of the advice is generally applicable. One warning: since some of the writers won their CAREERs several years ago, some of the advice is dated - particularly regarding letters of support (these are no longer allowed; only letters of collaboration are allowed). (pdf)
- Other Funding Opportunities for Junior Faculty
- Rutgers Website - the Rutgers Office of Research and Sponsored Programs website has a nice collection of workshop presentations posted:
- Overview of common problems of CAREER proposals and requirements (by Dr Michael Pazzani)
- Detailed description of CAREER proposal components and the review process (by Dr. Monica Mazurek)
- Discussion of the CAREER Educational Component (by Dr. Monica Devanas) - this includes a lot of information on programs specific to Rutgers, but also gives some nice examples of education activities that are generally applicable.
