Other Resources
Summer Scholars Program for all students from underrepresented groups who are participating in summer research programs - joint recruiting; welcome event; weekly luncheon series (this is especially meant for minority students who might not have many minority peers in their particular program) - directed by Sherry Yennello in the College of Science (yennello@science.tamu.edu).
List of Current REU Sites at Texas A&M University
GRE Preparation Courses offered by the Continuing and Professional Studies Office (CAPSO) - This can be a good development activity for REU students, and REU Sites can include the cost of these courses in their project budget.
CAPSO has reformatted the delivery time and format to be more conducive to the summer REU and USRG program schedules. This summer CAPSO used the new format to conduct five 3-hour GRE prep sessions for over 60 USRG/REU students. This is the same number of hours that is included in their weekend GRE prep sessions held each month for $595. With this seminar offered to a larger number of students, and as a special offer to the TAMU faculty, CAPSO is offering the GRE prep for only $99 per student.
