301 Rudder, 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The seminar will cover:
- types of fellowships
- how to search for fellowships that fit your situation
- how to prepare a competitive fellowship application
In addition, we will discuss in detail:
- how to prepare an application to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship program (1,100 to be awarded )
- the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship program
We will also have a panel of students who have won graduate fellowships discuss their experiences and answer questions.
Please note: Most graduate fellowship programs funded by federal agencies require applicants to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Fellowships financed by foundations and industry may not have that requirement. In addition, some dissertation grants funded by federal agencies do not have a citizenship requirement. Therefore, many but not all of the fellowship programs we will discuss are restricted to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
Registration for this free seminar is encouraged by not required. To register, please e-mail Libby Childress (opd@tamu.edu) with subject line: Graduate Fellowship Seminar, your name and department.
