This is an informational meeting for faculty (particularly PIs) who are considering applying for an NSF IGERT grant.
We will go over the requirements of the program, including changes this year, as well as lessons learned from previous submissions, and guidance from NSF. A PI from a currently funded Texas A&M IGERT (Joe Ross, PI of Texas A&M's Mathematics/Materials Science IGERT, "New Mathematical Tools for Next-generation Materials") will discuss his experiences and answer questions.
Registration: Please e-mail opd@tamu.edu with subject line "IGERT" to let us know you plan to attend so that we'll have enough handouts ready.
(This is a limited submission proposal - applications for the internal competition are due to the Research Policy and Development Support Office on January. 20th. Please see their website for more information on the internal selection process.)
